We have installed a customized UVC disinfection system in the spiral cooling tower for pizza dough for a long time customer. The stainless steel conveyor passes vertically along a number of UVC lamps in an aluminium housing.

The aluminium reflects the UVC light well and ensures 360 degrees disinfection of the stainless steel conveyor. This prevents the spread of bacteria, yeasts and moulds. Reducing these micro-organisms and especially moulds improves product quality and helps pro-longing shelf life.

Air ionization has also been installed in the same cooling tower to prevent fungal spread through the air. Moulds in the air can be reduced with an efficiency up to 99%.
