UV Radiation

Ultraviolet is electromagnetically radiation outside the spectrum perceived by the human eye.  The UV-light wavelength is 1 to 400 nanometers.
UV-light can be distinguished in UV-A, UV-B and UV-C.
  • UV-A is ultraviolet light with a wavelength between app. 315 en 400 Nm (long waves)
  • UV-B light has a wavelength between app. 280 en 315
  • UV-C light has a wavelength of less than 280 Nm (short waves)

UV-C light has a strong disinfecting effect. By radiating UV-C light on a filthy surface or in streaming water you can destroy living micro-organisms like bacteria, making it harmless. UV-C radiation doesn’t get through clothes as well as normal window glass
